Provide students with knowledge and skills in the prevention, detection, design, comunication, visualization and management of seccurity services and mechanisms for healthcare information systems (HIS), comprising the:
• study, definition and evaluation of:
– authentication and access control models and mechanisms for HIS
– advanced monitoring and auditing models and mechanisms for detecting security threats and vulnerabilities as well as errors and inconsistencies in HIS interactions
– socio-technical models of attack and defense using 3D technology and/or serious games to detecting and correcting security vulnerabilities within HIS
• design HIS systems with secure visualization and communication adapted to the context of mobile applications – anytime/anywhere – or to the hospital setting
• study of security usability and interactions regarding HIS or medical equipment
• study and applicability of European regulation and NAtional legislation regarding healthcare data protection

• Socio-technical models and use cases using 3D tools and serious games in healthcare security
• Using mobile devices in healthcare systems and their security issues
• Securely visualizing and communicating – methods and tools
• Security usability in healthcare systems and medical devices
• Current European regulation and National legislation regarding healthcare data protection – innovative methods for its applicability
