This unit aims to explore issues related to data collection. In this sense, it is hoped that competences will be acquired in the selection of the best forms of data collection with the objective of optimizing data quality and adherence to the systems by users.

In particular, various forms of data collection will be addressed:
(1) structured or narrative,
(2) keyboard input, touch screen, sound, vital signs, image or automatic analysis (machines), using APIs
(3) input of precision and data sensitivity,
(4) validation of data and integration with decision support systems,
(5) collection systems for health professionals and patients,
(6) mockup design and pilot for data collection

By going through and discussing the various forms of data collection currently available, students will gain the necessary skills in the process of selecting the best methods and technologies to apply to the scenario they want.

The methods used will be the expository, the bibliographic research and the exercises that are presented in the classes.
